Former University of Delaware football player Manny Marshall was one of three people killed Monday in a car accident in Oldmans Township, N.J. The accident occurred at 6:10 p.m. about 25 miles south of Philadelphia. Police said the vehicle veered off the road and ran into the center median before striking a tree.

Marshall, 24, was a part-time starter on the defensive line for the Blue Hens in 2005-07 and started all but one game for the Blue Hen squad that advanced to the NCAA I-AA national championship game in 2007.

A memorial service will be held for Marshall on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Church on the campus of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. A wake will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the same location.
