NCAA BASKETBALL 2012 – FEB 08 – Delaware Strong Arms UNCW 71-53


Delaware men’s basketball squad won its third straight games, The Blue Hens took control of the game in the second half and cruised pass UNCW 71-53 in a  Colonial Athletic Association triumph over UNCW Wednesday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Sophomore guard Devon Saddler, the CAA’s second leading scorer at 18.8 points per game, led the for the hens with 24 points. Junior forward Jamelle Hagins added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Hens, who avenged an 80-75 loss to the Seahawks back on Jan. 2 at Trask Coliseum.

Junior forward Keith Rendleman paced the Seahawks with 17 points and sophomore guard Donte Morales had 11.  Freshman forward Cedrick Williams added six points and 10 rebounds.

The Seahawks return home to face George Mason on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Blue Hens open a two-game road trip starting at Georgia State with a 2 p.m. tip-off at the GSU Sports Arena.
