Newark – Army Ends Navy’s Run with 21-17 win on Saturday in Baltimore and the lady Knights roll into Delaware from a loss at Minnesota and steam rolled the Lady Hens 61-47 Sunday afternoon in the first ever meeting between both programs at The Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware.
The lady knights trailed for several minutes then clamped down on the blue hens offense like a tourniquet taking a 14-13 lead when Jess Lewis drains a jumper. On the very next Army possession Aliyah Murray connected on the easy lay-up giving the knights a 16-13 lead to start a 21-5 run ended the first quarter with an 23-13 lead.
Army forced 20 Delaware turnovers and scored 21 points off turnovers. Sophomore Madison Hovren finished with the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth straight double-double, while Destinee Morris quietly added 11 points off the bench. Junior Aliyah Murray grabbed 11 rebounds.

Delaware will return to action on Dec. 21 at home against Hartford at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Army returns home for a non-conference game against Mercy on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m.
