Duffy’s Hope, founded in 1998 by Allen “Duffy” Samuels, is a service provider for at-risk and hard to reach youth ages 12-17 with DOCUMENTED  proof of success. Located in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware Duffy’s Hope has changed lives for the better for over  4,500 youth.

Of the 4,500 youth served, 2,500 were participants in Duffy’s direct services programs.  Duffy’s Hope uses a HOLISTIC approach that includes 10 components to not only determine the root causes in the lives of at-risk youth but also address, and more importantly, helps to rectify those issues.

The winger always looked like the most likely source of a goal to break the deadlock and he delivered it in fine style with a crashing finish under Blake after a clever run around the back of the Philadelphia defense.

It wasn’t just his goal which caught the eye on the night – he was a constant menace to the Union backline, slaloming through challenges and exchanging passes with teammates throughout the contest.

NBA D-LEAGUE BASKETBALL 2014 – MAR 28 Erie BayHawks defeats Delaware 87ers 158-122


NEWARK, DE.—March 28, 2014—The Delaware 87ers (12-35) faced off against the Erie BayHawks (15-31) for the final match-up of the season. The Sevens were unable to hold off the BayHawks and fell 158-122.

Josh Akognon scored a season high 32 points and grabbed four rebounds. BJ Young contributed 20 points and three rebounds.

Norvel Pelle ignited a 16-2 run with a huge slam with 5:30 remaining in the first quarter. The Sevens led 35-32 after the first. Pelle finished the game with 16 points and three rebounds.

The BayHawks pulled away in the second quarter and went into the locker room leading 71-58 at the half. The Sevens were unable to regain the lead.

Justin Brownlee led the Erie in scoring with 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Eight BayHawks scored in double figures.

The 87ers return to action tomorrow, Saturday, March 29, when they travel to take on the Erie BayHawks. The game tips off at 7:00 p.m. E.T.

NBA D-LEAGUE BASKETBALL 2014 – March 8 The Delaware 87ers Trade Vander Blue & Kyrylo Fesenko


NEWARK, DEL. – March 7, 2014, The Delaware 87ers are involved in a four team trade with the Idaho Stampede, Santa Cruz Warriors and Canton Charge.

In exchange for Kyrylo Fesenko and Reno’s own original second round pick, the Sevens will receive Canton’s own original second round pick. Fesenko (7-1, 280) appeared in 16 games averaging seven points, five rebounds and 18 minutes with the Sevens.

In exchange for trading Vander Blue (6-5, 197) to the Idaho Stampede, the Sevens will receive the LA D-Fenders own original second round pick.

Blue also appeared in 16 games with the 87ers where he averaged 19 points, four assists and five rebounds in 34 minutes per game.
