NCAA BASKETBALL 2012 – FEB 01 – Delaware triumph over George Mason 65-60

Mason could not overcome a double-digit first half deficit Wednesday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Mason (18-6, 10-2 CAA) saw its six-game win streak come to an end, as the Blue Hens (11-12, 6-6) earned a season split in the series.

Senior Ryan Pearson led the Mason offense with a game-high 25 points and had a team-best eight rebounds.

Delaware Freshman Kyle Anderson was on fire in the first half going 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.

Delaware held off Colonial Athletic Association league-leader George Mason down the stretch for a 65-60 victory at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Mason will look to return to the win column with a sold-out Homecoming date with Old Dominion on Saturday afternoon.

Delaware will return to action Saturday when the Hens travel to James Madison for a 2 p.m. showdown with the Dukes.
