Newark – Today I was assign to photograph Athlete of the Year for The News Journal in Wilmington Delaware. So you guys know already, I will try to envision my set-up prior to arriving at the location. Well, For me it’s quite normal to do this being that I will only have a short period of time to work with the athlete.
I arrived on the campus of Padua Academy in Wilmington Delaware. I met with Lauren DiSabatino, Associate Athletic Director who introduced me to my models, Volleyball standout Emily Jarome and Cross Country Champion Lydia Olivere.
I immediately made up in my mind that I was going to use multiple speed-lights (4) to light both subject in the gym.
I used The Canon 7D Mark II and the lens was the Canon 24-105f/4L. I also used (4) Canon EOS 430 EXII and (1) Rogue FlashBender 2 – XL Pro Lighting System (2) Rogue 3-in-1 Flash Grid with 3-Gel Starter Set (1) Rogue FlashBender 2 – LARGE Soft Box Kit and (2) standard light stand (CLICK HERE TO SEE VIDEO).
Congrats to Emily Jarome and Lydia Olivere.
