Ebony Tie Affair 20th Anniversary

The Ebony Tie Affair provides the opportunity to celebrate the collective accomplishments of Ebony men from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. For over seventeen years, the event has been an enriching and uplifting occasion for the gathering of friends – old and new.

The theme for 2016: “Our Time” it is an affirmation of our appreciation of those mentors and champions that assisted each of us in getting where we are today, and an obligation on our part to reach back and mentor other Ebony men today.

We proudly take our places in our chosen professions because of our forefathers – our heroes – paved a path to permit our success. On this night we look back to recognize our mentors and we look forward to confirming our obligation to our brothers, old and new.

Each year we enjoy a memorable evening of friendship, fellowship, and entertainment.

This year event was chaired by Tony Allen, Ph.D

2012 Ebony Tie Affair Youth Luncheon

The Ebony Tie Affair has provided the opportunity to celebrate the collective accomplishments of Ebony men from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. This occasion reflects the affection and obligation Ebony Men have for one another, the community and for the future.

Ebony Men in attendance have the opportunity to appreciate the unique experience the occasion has to offer. As Men, we engage in fellowship and enjoy the company of our ebony friends-old and new-under circumstances that promote dialog and discourage division. As Men, we humble ourselves and recognize we are all equal parts of a greater whole, a greater impact and a greater purpose. As Men, we embrace the essential duty to develop and prepare our ebony youth for a world that may not always be fair, honest or kind.

With that in mind we introduce the 2012 Ebony Tie Affair theme: “Passing the Torch”.

Special thanks to the Ebony Tie Affair Youth Luncheon panel:
